Hot to Use a Shaving Brush. Run the shaving brush under warm sink water to saturate the bristles and shake off any excess water. The warm water will help the brush accept the shaving cream. Then circle the bristles over the shaving cream in a Naughty Goat tin, slowly working to a rich lather. Continue using circular motions while working the brush around your beard area. If you’re not getting the desired amount of lather, simply add a bit more water to the brush. After you’re done shaving, run your shaving brush under some cold water using your fingers to separate the bristles to get all of the soap out of the hair - let air dry.
